10 Day Atlas Mountains – Sahara Desert and Marrakech – Atlantic Coast

Breakfast. Panoramic tour of the city and the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque, located by the sea. We will then continue to Marrakech, visiting the minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque and the Saadian tombs, during a charming walk through the alleys of the medina, blending into the crowd until we reach the Bahia Palace and its beautiful gardens, and ending at the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. Accommodation in a hotel/riad.

Breakfast. Our adventure begins in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains—one of the largest mountain ranges in the world—where the lush green of nature blends with the deep red of the earth. We’ll continue our journey across the impressive Tizi N’Tichka Pass, reaching an altitude of 2,260 meters, on our way to the first southern village of Ouarzazate.

Along the way, we’ll admire 10th-century kasbahs hidden among palm groves until we reach the Valley of the Roses. There, we’ll follow a secret path to share tea with a Berber family in their cave home carved into the mountains. We’ll end our day in Boumalne Dades. Dinner and overnight stay in a Hotel/Riad.

Breakfast. Our day begins in the natural park of Boumalne Dades, continuing along a scenic trail until we’re engulfed by the giant labyrinth of the Todra Gorges, where we’ll take a short break to rest and enjoy the surroundings. We then head to Erfoud, known as the gateway to the desert.

From there, an endless adventure awaits—crossing dunes and following the tracks of the legendary Paris-Dakar rally. In the afternoon, we’ll join a caravan of dromedaries and venture deep into the vast desert, where we’ll spend the night like true Berbers, enjoying their drum music, a traditional dinner, and the magical company of the stars.

Breakfast. A day set aside to enjoy, savor, and fully experience the desert in its purest form. We’ll begin in Hassilabied, where we’ll walk through a palm grove cultivated and maintained by the entire local community.

We’ll then continue our journey through the dunes and desert trails, passing Merzouga and stepping back in time as we visit the small village of Khamlia, inhabited by nomads from Sub-Saharan Africa. There, we’ll listen to traditional Gnawa music and take a guided walk through the village with local hosts. From there, we’ll follow a trail that leads back into the desert, crossing dunes until we reach a traditional Kasbah.

Breakfast. We continue toward Ouarzazate via Rissani, where we’ll stop to visit its colorful traditional market. Our journey continues through the Berber village of Nkob and the stunning Draa Valley, filled with lush palm groves and an ancient kasbah, until we reach Ouarzazate, where we’ll spend the night.

Breakfast. In the morning, we’ll visit the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous filming location for major productions like Gladiator, among others. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech and finally arrive in Essaouira.

Breakfast. Free day to relax and enjoy this traditional fishing town, known for its historic streets and houses, and for preserving its authentic charm.
