12 Days Around Morocco

Upon arrival at the airport/ferry, you'll have free time to explore this bustling port city, once the playground of international socialites, including writers, artists, musicians, and politicians.

The city is a lively, cosmopolitan, and historic Mediterranean city where you can explore a wealth of museums and fascinating sites. Our itinerary will continue to Fez.

Overnight at a Hotel/Ria.

Breakfast. We will discover the imperial city of Fez. We will begin our visit at the golden gates of the Royal Palace, and then, from a high point in the city, we will contemplate the great wall that encloses the amazing old medina, which we will then explore to experience the different sensations the city has to offer. Along the narrow streets, we will discover mosques and madrasas until we enter the tanners' quarter, where we will witness the tanning and dyeing of leather.

Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation in a Hotel/Riad.

Breakfast. We will depart for Midelt via Ifrane, known as Little Switzerland. We will stop and rest in the cedar forest of Azrou, where we will enjoy watching monkeys in their natural habitat. Then, we will continue our journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains to reach Midelt. We will cross the Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud, from where we will follow a track that leads to the desert and travel through the dunes to the kasbah.

Breakfast. Day reserved for enjoying, delighting, and experiencing the desert in its purest form. We'll begin our day in Hassilabied, where we'll enter a palm grove created and cared for by the entire community. We'll continue our journey through the dunes and desert trails, passing through Merzouga and traveling back in time to the small village of Khamlia, inhabited by nomads from sub-Saharan Africa. There, we'll listen to African Gnawa folk music, and the locals will accompany us on a tour of their village. At night, we'll board a camel and travel to the heart of the desert to spend a night under the stars in a khaima, alongside the authentic Berber people, with whom we'll enjoy their drumming and a typical dinner.
Wake up early to see the best sunrise in the middle of the desert. We will continue along a road with spectacular panoramic views surrounding the Erg Chebbi dunes. We will have breakfast and rest for a while in a hotel before heading to the town of Rissani to enjoy its colorful souk. We will visit the Tafilalet palm grove and cross the Todra Gorge, ending our route in the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a Hotel/Riad.
Breakfast. We'll begin our excursion early, crossing the Atlas Mountains, where we'll discover the nomadic inhabitants who still live in caves as in the past. Then, we'll lose ourselves in the scent of the Valley of Roses and the Skoura palm grove and its kasbahs until we reach Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight at a Hotel/Riad.
Breakfast. We will spend the morning visiting the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for being the setting for major films such as Gladiator, among others. After lunch, we will continue our journey through the Atlas Mountains and the Telouet Valley to finally arrive in Marrakech. Overnight at a Hotel/Riad.
Breakfast. We will enjoy a city tour, visiting the minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque and the Saadian tombs. We will take a charming walk through the alleys of the medina, weaving through the crowds until we reach the Bahia Palace and its beautiful gardens, ending at the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. The famous square is alive with storytellers, magic potion sellers, dancers, snake charmers, and acrobats. Overnight at a Hotel/Riad
Breakfast. We'll begin the day heading to the Ouzoud Waterfalls, located northeast of Marrakech. Once we arrive at this natural paradise, we'll take time to enjoy the waterfalls, one of the country's most impressive natural wonders. In the afternoon, we'll continue our journey to Casablanca. Overnight at a Hotel/Riad
Breakfast. Panoramic tour of United Nations Square and the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque, located by the sea. We will continue our journey to Rabat, visiting the Royal Palace, the Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. We will end our day in the famous blue village of Chefchaouen. Overnight at a Hotel/Riad.
Day 11: Chefchaouen Breakfast. Free time to relax and enjoy the white and indigo-blue city, with its winding streets and beautiful natural surroundings.
Breakfast. Free time until the scheduled departure to Tangier Airport or ferry.
